Dear Water skiers,
It ‘s hard to believe that summer is just around the corner and even harder to believe that Lake Lanier Water Ski Camp is making plans for our 28th year to run this ski camp! We hope you will be a part of the 2012 session. We want to thank you for making our 2011 season so successful even though we could not use our previous ski camp room for lunch.
Our format is the same as last year. We will run out of Bald Ridge Marina which will be the drop off and pick up place for our students. We continue to be plagued with someone trying to shut down our ski camp. Our price is the same as last year, $600 per student. The fee is only for time on the water learning skiing skills. Anything else we do is free. Drop off time is 9:15 AM and pick up time is 3:30 PM. Bald Ridge Marina if off Exit 15 of 400. If you are going north on 400 you turn right on Exit 15 and it dead-ends into the marina. You take the first right after you stop at the gate keeper. Then you veer left before the hedge into the parking lot.
We will be running two boats each session. We have the 2003 Ski Nautique and the 2000 Pro Air Nautique. Both of these boats have a tower and are made for nine passengers. We have the equipment to help you do your very best—from the novice skier and wakeboarder to the competition skier and wakeboarder. All we need is YOU! We are only running six or seven weeks this summer so get your application in quickly.
We were blessed in 2011 to have two new grandsons. Jack Harrison was born March 29 to Katy and Barron and Kelly and Scott adopted Maksim from the Ukraine. He arrived in Atlanta on March 5. His sisters, Cailen, Courtney and Brenley will all be a part of our staff this year as well as Michael Leithead. Mattison and Carolyn’s boys will also be a part of ski camp as students. Carolyn and Katy have been very successful being stylist with their Stella and Dot jewelry business (www.stella&dot.com) If you want to get some beautiful free jewelry call them.
Please remember that we do give private lessons after ski camp for adults and children. Barron is usually the instructor. Each of you that came to camp last year can see your picture on our website (www.waterskicamp.net).
Enclosed is our application from. Please let us hear from you soon. You are our best advertisement! We really appreciate all of you that have told your friends about Lake Lanier Water Ski Camp! Remember there is a $125 discount for the one that gets a group of six to come to the same session. We hope we get to work with you this summer learning many new water skiing and wakeboarding skills. It really is fun!
Sincerely,
The Barnes’Family
